Yeah, I think that's it. It's not like there was an event that made Eve intentionally cut off her mom. If anything, it reminds me of the last arc where we see Eve realize how distant she's become with her old friends (Gwen being pregnant and getting married). This is slightly different, but I think it's a reoccurring theme that Eve doesn't do a good job at staying in contact with people.
It has been said explicitly but I can't remember when. I think Eve's mom or dad was talking about how they named them both after mountains: Everest and Rushmore.
Her entire family has thematic names:
Everest = Eve Ning
Rushmore = Mor Ning (I am curious about whatever happened to him)
Dawn = Dawn Ning
I don't remember her father's name.
I can really relate to eve with her mom, I don't like talking to my mom, we always end up fighting and we don't get along but i still love her so i feel really guilty for never calling her…
I bet Hanna and Eve's moms both belong to a Guild of Moms where they meet up and discuss new ways to make their children feel guilty for not calling. They probably also put their children's Facebook profiles on a projector so they can analyze and speculate based on the evidence available.
Just loving the theme of motherhood throughout this arc. The relationships of .others and daughters, going through a time of wondering about it, worrying about it… Just beautifully done!
*melts*
Oh my goodness, this is so… touching. I'm actually weeping onto my keyboard right now.
Don't do that! You'll have to get a new one!
Oh, oh me too. Felt compelled to give my mom a call
I love this comic.
I forget. Is Evelyn not talking to her mum?
Everest. 🙂
I don't think that's been said explicitly, though I could be wrong. But Eve doesn't seem to keep up with her family much, in general.

etc.
I don’t think it’s been said, but if the theme keeps going I wouldn’t be surprised if his name was Wayne.
Talk to your mom, kids
YOU"RE NOT MY MOTHER YOU CAN"T MAKE ME!
Everything Diane said was exactly what I needed to hear at this point in my life. Strange how that works.
"Yeah, that's me, 'all right'…"
Oh the feels.
I want a spinoff series about Eve and Hannah's mums just hanging out, maybe solving a few crimes.
That would make a great TV show!
I want a spinoff life of me hanging out with Hanna's mom.
Octopus Pie: Homicide
…Have John Allison as the writer and I'm doubly sold.
You should talk to your mom, Eve…
Yes indeed.
Can someone remind me what's going on with Eve and her mom? I feel like it's been awhile since we explored that relationship.
MOMS *cries*

So much feels from this panel :_:

That last panel is seriously heartbreaking.
Mer, this comic just keeps getting better and better every single update.
Oh my god, they were fantasizing about being their moms in the comic right before Park called.

Its gross they hugged. Eve is probably covered in sex juices.
who isn't?
Ouch!! =/
I've always wondered how to produce that towel dress.
"It's not your job to be experienced. Your job is to be strong."
I've reread this comic multiple times, and that still hits me right in the chest. I needed to understand this, right now. Thank you.
