This page is almost disorienting, how many threads I was trying to pick up at the last minute. Will’s little tour around the room of the most intimate relationships he’s had, and how he now fits into their lives, seemed so important to me. Talking to Mar is particularly loaded, with their relaxed honesty, a parental gaze over the crowd, and finally a clearly placed boundary. When two people leave each other unhappy, and become happy elsewhere on their own, maybe there IS hope for closure. It just doesn’t look the way they imagined, back when happiness hinged on something lost. |
I really like how you can kinda see that Mar and Will have grown up. I'm happy that they were able to have this kind of interaction, while things may be different, it's not a bad thing.
