An early Big OP Moment. I took a lot of delight in delivering a surprise, and maybe got a little addicted to the reaction. I think the cracked panel opening up to the borderless face still works pretty well. *gestures to self* It learned! |

This is definitely a plot point of its time.
At the time, I didn't understand this comic because it was already super obvious that Will dealt drugs on the side and I thought Eve already knew as well.
But rereading it now, I can see that Eve thought Will was at most another stoner, not a dealer. She had very much brushed off the clear hints up to now.
I think it worked great! It's the perfect ending for Hanna's search.
I was as oblivious as Eve was, at the time.
This was a turning point for me. Before it, I figured OP was a kind of standard webcomic that happened to resonate with me. But this wasn't standard by a long shot. OP delivered, and this was before Tag rolled out the rest of the gang.
Don't forget, Gran animated this too: https://vimeo.com/15441473
Why is this such a big deal?
Granted at the time I didn't realize either, but I always kind of thought why is Eve freaking out?
Now that I'm older, I kinda see why she's upset. I don't know if I would want to date a dealer too. Also, Eve didn't start smoking yet so she's probably kind of miffed.
Idk, any insight OPers?
