octopus pie – just forget it

And summer turns to fall! I just barely slipped this update in before everyone stops feeling hot. Not that the change isn’t welcome.

SPX is this weekend and I’ll be there, at booth W21A! And if things work out right, I just might have a mini of this last storyline. It will be super limited so get there early. I will also have super limited copies of Marceline & the Scream Queens #1-3. Come and high-five me!

I know you folks have been patiently refreshing this page every 5 minutes for the past month. I’m busy with work that I really enjoy, but I sure wish I was updating more. As usual I’ll post whenever I can. Come November, updates should be a bit more regular. Sit tight and drink some cider!

This is the saddest comic strip I have seen in a long time. Maybe ever. It's just too realistic. The overview of the barren, slightly messy room as she drifts into an escapist's sleep is all too telling of depression. Poor Eve, I understand.

As so many have done before, I leave here a comment to say that, having started two days ago, I have finally caught up and seen every single comic in Octopus Pie. It is a sad, sad time for me, And I hope everyone will support me as a friend cuts off my dreadlocks and we all go to Times Square.
This is by far the best form of procrastination I've come across and by far the most entertaining thing I've seen in about 3 years on the TV, in a movie or in a book.

Kinda tangential, but I've always wondered: is it supercilious/condescending/passive-aggressive to properly punctuate or capitalise a text/IM message if the person you're talking to doesn't? It totally has me breaking out in neurotics all the time.

Meredith, you are the modern Eisner. When I read your characters I see pen lines transform into flesh and blood. Each one of your characters is not simply a character, not even just like someone I know or even family. They're all a part of me. It's like seeing my soul on stage in Shakespearean glory.

goddamnit i've been on the other end of that "just forget it" so many times. those 3 words really hurt, and i'm just very biased, but they make you sound like an asshole. "just forget it" is maybe my least favorite sentence in the english language :(
